To my dear friends and brothers, Acheinu Bnei Yisrael,

For many years I have been working to support my parents. My mother was partially blinded as a result of her diabetes, which also involved heavy medical expenses that were not covered by her insurance. My father z”l lost his job after 45 years with a change of management, receiving no severance pay.

Recently, my father passed away, leaving me with the burden of supporting my sick and widowed mother.

The expense of her home is furthermore burdened by two married daughters living at home. One daughter’s husband suffered a stroke half a year after their wedding and cannot function, so they live with my mother, together with their own child. The other daughter is mentally challenged and incapable of running a house on her own. There is another unmarried son at home, who is 30+, and is also mentally challenged and incapable of caring for himself.

The added expenses of caring for unwell adult children, together with their long list of medical expenses and wedding debts have left the home in a state of terrible poverty and want of basic food necessities.

I work as a sofer and barely make enough to support and make weddings for my own children, leaving me no choice but to seek your help in carrying the burden of supporting my ailing mother in her hardships.

Please help me pay for her basic needs, including food and medicine. May Hashem reward you for helping me honor my parents, and bless you with long life, good health, prosperity and nachas.
