Only eight months later the father of this yougerman, who was a Rosh Yeshiva and well respected leader of the klal, collapsed under the pressure of the burden of taking care of his other children as well as his young daughter in-law and granddaughter.

A case of national tragedy that turned into a case of family tragedy for the Saler family. The tears which began streaming will continue when you read of it below.

All of us remember the unfortunate tragedy of מירון that took the lives of so many innocent people. One of the 45 Kedoshim that were sacrificed was a yougerman that was the father of a newborn baby girl.

All of those families experienced a traumatizing night and days to follow. Phone calls with no answer and eventually the horrible news from the authorities of their loved ones’ demise.

This event broke the hearts of all of Klal Yisroel. Only eight months later the father of this yougerman, who was a Rosh Yeshiva and well respected leader of the klal, collapsed under the pressure of the burden of taking care of his other children as well as his young daughter in-law and granddaughter.

This tragic loss of a father and son within the same year left behind many יתומים, including a baby girl יתום, and 2 widows. Now the widows, the other orphans, and the baby are left with sorrow and an overwhelming burden of bills and other expenses including marrying off the youngest daughter.

As time passes their burden grows and their debts become deeper and deeper. It is therefore up to us to help them. Please take the achrayus to not leave any of Hashem’s children behind.

This is a great opportunity to carry your neighbor’s burden and be part of the mitzvah of hachnosas kallah for a יתום.
